I’m a photographer from Southwest Virginia who’s building a life around the things I love — creating, traveling, snowboarding, and meeting people worth remembering. My work is about more than making beautiful images; it’s about preserving what a moment actually felt like.
I’ve Never Been Very Good At Sitting Still.
I’ve always wanted to keep moving, try something new, and see where it takes me. Whether I’m chasing a new trick on the mountain, traveling somewhere I’ve never been, or picking up my camera to create something, I’m happiest when I’m learning, exploring, and pushing myself forward.
A LITTLE ABOUT WHERE IT STARTED
Photography Runs In The Family.
I’m a third-generation photographer. My mom has been a photographer for almost my entire life, and my grandpa was a photographer before her. I grew up around cameras and photography, but I never really knew where it would take me.
When I was 16, I was working at Food Lion and brought my camera with me on a snowboarding trip. I started taking photos on the mountain just for fun, and I immediately fell in love with creating. I loved being able to experience something and then turn that moment into something I could actually keep.
From there, photography went from something I enjoyed to something I wanted to build my life around. Now it’s given me a way to travel, meet incredible people, chase the things I love, and create work that means something to me and the people I photograph.

When i'm not behind the camera
I FELL IN LOVE WITH SNOWBOARDING ON DAY ONE.
I started snowboarding on my 15th birthday when my cousin brought me to the mountain for the first time. I was supposed to go somewhere else that day, but I’m pretty glad he changed my plans. I fell in love with it immediately and spent the next couple of years finding anyone who would take me until I finally got my license.
Since then, snowboarding has become a huge part of my life. While photographing one of my trips, I randomly met the crew behind my first snowboard brand, Huck N Pray, which eventually led to my first sponsorship. I’ve since partnered with Winterplace through my photography, and I’ve even built my own snowboard brand, Hesh. I compete whenever I can and especially love big air, flip tricks, and pushing myself to try things I’ve never done before.

Snowboarding taught me to appreciate the moments that only last for a second. Traveling taught me to stay curious and always look for something new. Photography became the way I could hold onto those moments and share them with other people.
Whether I’m photographing a couple, a wedding, an athlete, or a brand, I’m always looking for something real — the energy, emotion, movement, and little details that make the experience yours. I want my work to bring you back to how it actually felt to be there.
